Dilatazione di un attimo stems from the desire to transform a personal experience into a reflection on the body as a threshold, a surface, and a site of passage. Through painting, I explore vulnerability not as an individual condition but as a shared experience, where emotions, relationships, and memory become inscribed in the body and extend beyond its physical boundaries.
While the work originates from an autobiographical experience, it does not seek to narrate it definitively or singularly. Instead, it opens itself to multiple interpretations, inviting viewers to recognize fragments of their own experiences within the image. The body and color become spaces of resonance, where emotions accumulate, overlap, and continuously transform.
Dilatazione di un attimo does not offer resolution or closure. Rather, it seeks to make perceptible a state in which emotional time expands, suspending the instant and allowing experience to be processed, inhabited, and shared. Painting thus becomes a space of transformation, where lived experience is not resolved but traversed and made visible.
